Global money, mobile-first onchain infra, bank-grade payments
Project
Swype Mobile App
Year
2025

Swype.fun is a sub-brand incubated by Brahma.Fi, built on a trajectory toward becoming a super app for global payments powered by the Swype SDK. The SDK functions as an orchestration layer, unifying onchain finance, Visa card rails, and EUR/USD bank accounts within a single application.
Scope of Work

Once onboarded, users can tap their onchain positions as collateral by borrowing stablecoins against DeFi holdings across Base and Hyperliquid ecosystem, sourced through money markets like Aave and Euler. The SDK then handles stablecoin-to-fiat conversion automatically, letting users spend directly via a Visa card making 100M+ vendors accessible globally. Onchain positions can also be settled straight to a linked bank account, collapsing what's typically a multi-step off-ramp into a single seamless transfer.

My role was to design a mobile-first experience that made this infrastructure feel invisible. The goal wasn't to teach users DeFi it was to abstract loan-to-value mechanics, cross-chain liquidity routing, and collateral management behind interaction patterns borrowed from the fintech apps people already trust, reducing cognitive load at every step of the journey. Swype’s model of collateralized, non-custodial spending power abstracted behind a familiar payment card was novel enough to generate real intrigue across the crypto and fintech communities.

Swype’s model of collateralized, non-custodial spending power abstracted behind a familiar payment card was novel enough to generate real intrigue across the crypto and fintech communities. This app was built as the successor to Swype's earlier version a web-first, desktop-native product limited to payment cards collateralized against onchain positions. Partway through building this next iteration, Brahma.Fi received and accepted an acquisition offer from Polymarket.
